Goals The aims of this course are to evaluate the developments in the period extending from the 1960s to the 1980s within the context of countries, historical events and different cultural climates; to explain relationship between the film, industry, technology, audience and creativity; to describe differences emerging in filmic narratives in a critical perspective.
Course Content In the light of a social, cultural and economic background, film production and existing film movements emerging in different countries are discussed in a historical process from the i1960s to the 1980s.
Learning Outcomes 1) Explain the narrative characteristics of cinema within a critical point of view
2) Define the characteristics of national cinemas.
3) Explain the relationships between national cinemas.
4) Explain the evolution of cinema.
5) Interpret national cinemas in relation to political, social and economic contexts.
