Goals To define the features such as shape and size of the earth in Agricultural Engineering, to make basic studies in preparing the projects to present them to the benefit of the society and to ensure their accuracy in the implementation of the projects
Course Content The course includes the definition and scope of surveying information, determination of points on the earth, measurement of horizontal and vertical distances, measurement of area on plan and terrain, map reading and map drawing.
Learning Outcomes 1) Recognize tools for perpendicular line formation and learn how to measure areas
2) Learn to calculate scales and areas
3) Measurement of vertical distances, leveling and theodolite instrument
4) Learn to leveling varieties, point leveling, transverse and longitudinal profile leveling and drawing profiles
5) Learn surface leveling with radial and grid network methods
6) Evaluate surface leveling results and learn drawing of leveling curves (contours)
