Goals To give information about irrigation methods, irrigation systems, irrigation projects and their applications which are used at ornamental cultivation and landscape areas
Course Content Definition, importance and benefits of irrigation, irrigation systems, soil-plant-water relations, plant water consumption, irrigation efficiency, effective rainfall, irrigation water requirement, irrigation methods and determination of suitable method, examination of sprinkler, drip and micro sprinkler irrigation projects
Learning Outcomes 1) Knows basic concepts about irrigation and importance of irrigation for plant.
2) Explains interrelations of soil-plant-water.
3) Knows irrigation methods and systems.
4) Explains elements of irrigation systems and their functions.
5) Determines suitable irrigation method.
6) Applies precautions which raise efficiency of irrigation.
7) Reads irrigation projects.
8) Applies irrigation projects to area.
9) Brings forward proposals aimed at solutions by taking charge in installation and maintenance of irrigation systems.
