Goals The aim of this course is to teach the multiculturality's spatial and social reflections.
Course Content 1. on the concept of multiculturalism, 2. Globalization - Culture and Multiculturalism, 3. Multicultural Societies and Pluralism Forms, 4. Majority and pluralism in multicultural societies, 5. Identity Politics in Multicultural Society, 6. Language, religion and sects in multicultural societies, 7. Belonging and Representation in Multicultural Society, 8. Diversity - Multiplicity and Equality, 9. Multiculturalism and Essentialism, 10. Midterm Exam 11. Multicultural Citizenship, 12. Power and Spatial Production in Multicultural Communities, 13. Space and Representations in Multicultural Society, 14. Coexistence in Multicultural Society 15. Final Examination
Learning Outcomes 1) Students will understand social differences
2) Students will understand the social implications and importance of spatial differences
3) Students will understand how cultures hybridize with globalization
4) Students will understand how identity and tradition have changed in multicultural societies.
