Goals The purpose of the course is to gain the information about the basic concepts of the public health and health care systems, historical development of public health and health care systems, inequalities to accessing the health systems among societies and to examine the different health problems by using a holistic perspective.
Course Content It encompasses basic concepts of social work, the definition and scope of social work, social work qualifications, concepts related to the field of child welfare, concepts related to the field of youth welfare, concepts related to the field of elderly welfare, concepts related to the field of health, concepts related to the welfare of asylum-seekers and immigrants, concepts in the field of social assistance, concepts related to social work skills, concepts related to social service agencies in the historical process, giving help to the original location of social work occupations, concepts related to the review of all, and final evaluation.
Learning Outcomes 1) Defines social work as a social welfare profession
2) Determining to social work' original location between help of professions
3) Understand the distinctive aspects of the social work profession
