Goals The purpose of the course is to gain the information about the basic concepts of the public health and health care systems, historical development of public health and health care systems, inequalities to accessing the health systems among societies and to examine the different health problems by using a holistic perspective.

Learning Outcomes 1) S/he learns the basic concepts of public health and health care systems
2) S/he gains the knowledge of ineaqualities in societies in reaching the health care systems
3) S/he gains a holistic and critical thinking and behaving habits about health problems and social work
4) S/he gains the knowledge of medical and social model and acquires the knowledge of disease and social relations
5) Acquire patient-health relationship.
6) S/he learns the knowledge and skills of recognizing himself as a health worker
7) S/he learns the knowledge of different health problems (stress, alcoholism and substance abuse, suicide, tuberculosis, canser, CYBH and AIDS/HIV, etc.)
8) S/he evaluates the origin of health problems by holistic and critical perspectives and gains the skill to integrate with social work discipline and profession
