Goals Aim of this course is to give information about database, database management and to describe programs that use database. Also to make students create a database with using Microsoft Access and obtain actuarial results from that database
Course Content Introduction to database and basic concepts of database, Type of variables employed in modelling a database and their features, Relationships and design, Introduction to Microsoft Access, Wizard usage with Microsoft Access, Table Wizard and Table Design, Insert Record, Delete Record, Copy, Paste, Basic Calculations on Tables, Queries Wizards, Design View, Select Query, Parameter Query, Cross-tab Query, Action Query, Form Wizards and Creating Forms, Basic calculations on Forms, Report Wizard and Creating Reports
Learning Outcomes 1) Comprehends the importance of database and gets information about database concept
2) Defines all variables that is required for creating a database
3) Designs all relations in a database correctly
