Goals It is aimed to teach the structure of this derste programmable logic controllers (PLC) and its working principle, to apply programming principles with Ladder, STL and FBD and to gain the competencies of touch panel programming.
Course Content Introduction to PLC, comparison of PLC with other controllers, Program loading and menus usage, Programming with Ladder, STL and FBD, Transfer of the classic control to PLC commands, Set-Reset Relays, Set-Reset Relays, Edge Triggers, Special Internal Relays (SM), Time Relays, Counters, Number Systems, Move (Information Disposition-Assign) Commands, Comparison Commands, Mathematical Commands, Real Time Clock Applications, TD200 (Operator Panel) Operation.
Learning Outcomes 1) To understand the differences between PLC and conventional electromechanical control systems
2) To be able to comprehend PLC structure, working mode and programming logic
3) To be able to make application using programming technique with PLC ladder, STL and FBD
4) Timers and counters can be used in PLC's
5) To be able to practice using comparison function in PLC
6) To be able to implement using MOVE command in PLCs
7) Addition and logical operations in PLCs
