Goals The aim of the course is to introduce the sociology to the students in general and to provide information about approaches, general theories and practical applications in sociology. Introduction to Sociology, Development of Sociological Thought and Sociology Theories, Sociological Research Methodology, Culture, Socialization, Society and Social Interaction, Social Groups and Formal Organizations, Religion, Family.
Course Content Introduction to social sciences and the place of sociology in social sciences, basic research methods, history of sociology, culture, socialization process, stratification, social groups, working life, family, race and ethnicity, religion, family
Learning Outcomes 1) Learns the basic concepts of sociology
2) Develops a sociological point of view on the associations in working life.
3) Evaluates social events more analytically.
