Goals The course aims to provide information about fundamentals of human body movement, kinesiology and pathomechanics of each joint and its association with orthoses and prostheses; the kinesiology and pathomechanics of the pelvis and spine and its association with orthoses.
Course Content The course inclıdes: Fundamentals of human body movement; Skeletal system, fascia, bone structure, adaptation and properties of bone to normal and pathological stresses; Joint science; types of joints and their features; Hand-wrist and foot and ankle kinesiology and pathomechanics and its association with orthoses; The kinesiology and pathomechanics of the elbow and knee joints and its association with prostheses and orthoses; The kinesiology and pathomechanics of the shoulder-arm complex and its association with prostheses and orthoses; The kinesiology structure and pathomechanics of the pelvis and its association with prosthesis and orthosis; The kinesiology structure and pathomechanics of the spine and its association with orthoses.
Learning Outcomes 1) To know the normal properties of the bone and functional adaptation to normal and pathological stresses.
2) Know the mechanics and pathology of the pelvis, hip, knee, foot / ankle
3) To know shoulder-arm complex, elbow, wrist and hand mechanics and pathomechanics
