Goals This course presents information about communication technologies by explaining key concepts related to the development of communication and media theory.
Course Content Definition of communication, basic concepts of communication phenomenon and communication elements, Functions and features of communication, Communication tools, Concept of media, Internet and interactive mass communication, internet technologies.
Learning Outcomes 1) Gains knowledge about the development history of mass media in the world and Turkey, and the social, artistic, economic and political interaction of historical processes.
2) Knows approaches to social, economic, cultural and artistic effects of new media.
3) Distinguish digital media from traditional media in a theoretical context.
4) Knows how information and culture are shared and organized in virtual environments.
5) Knows and uses mass media.
