Goals The course aims to teach basic concepts of parasitology, parasites, evolution, types, hosts, understanding of diseases, and treatment methods, which is the effect of the parasitic protozoan, helminth, and Arthropod species diagnosis, diagnosis, treatment and prevention methods to learn.
Course Content General characteristics, epidemiology, diagnostic and protection methods of Protozoa, Helminth, Arthropoda species subject to parasite diseases
Learning Outcomes 1) Knows the basic concepts of parasitology
2) Reviews parasite and host relationships.
3) Knows the harms that parasites made to their hosts.
4) Knows the ways of transmission of parasites and evolutionary processes.
5) Knows the ways parasitic infections and diagnosis, reviews prevention and treatment methods
6) Separates helminth, protozoan and arthropod types morphologically
7) Reviews distribution of parasitic diseases
8) Know the epidemiology of parasitic diseases. Compares the distribution of Turkey and the world
