Goals Teachs basic statitical concepts and random events, teachs how to model random events and establish the link between theory of statistics and real world phenomenon, teaches basic concepts of probability theory
Course Content Probability space, probability caluculations, discrete and contious random variables, cumulative distribuitons functions, probability mass and distiribution functions, expectation, multivariate distribuitons, transformation of random variables, sampling, hypothesis testing, forecasting,confidence intervals, simple linear regression and correlatio analysis
Learning Outcomes 1) Learns theoretical and practical concepts on the solution of probability problems.
2) Interprets descriptive statistics of the data obtained from experimental studies related to the field.
3) Has proficiency to model, analyze and statistical inference of related problems
4) Learns how to usehypothesis testing to test the statistical results
