Goals To teach the measures necessary to ensure the health and safety of employees, to provide information about systematic and scientific studies conducted to protect from conditions that may harm the health and safety of employees due to various reasons during the execution of work in workplaces, to inform about basic first aid techniques, and to develop the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Course Content Use of manual lifting and carrying in high-altitude works, operations with pressurized vessels, work with various chemicals, situations involving noise and vibration, use of cement and demolition works, work in excavation areas, and measures for preventing on-site vehicle accidents in construction sites. Personal protective equipment. Concepts of hazard and risk, risk analysis methods, and risk assessment. First aid in accidents and methods of transporting the injured.
Learning Outcomes 1) To learn the rules that must be followed from a legislative perspective for some activities that can pose risks in occupational safety.
2) To have knowledge about collective protection and personal protective equipment.
3) To gain the ability to conduct risk assessments by learning the concepts of hazard and risk.
