Goals In this lecture which graphic design's basic terms are discussed, combining computer technology with students creativeness and implement their first design attempts are the primary aims. The Graphic Design lectures's general framework are oppose with “The ability to design comes with birth”, “Computer software knowledge is enough to become a graphic designer” claims. In this lecture which creativeness is describe as a “the process of achieving from two unknown to one unknown”, is aimed to courage the student to discover their existing creativeness -in different levels-. This lecture is the precondition of the Graphic Applications lecture.
Course Content Lecture, the basic concepts of graphic design ; design principles, processes, it involves adjusting the introduction and application of design elements .
Learning Outcomes 1) Lecture participants are able to explain basic terms and concepts in graphic design
2) Lecture participants recognize design concepts
3) Lecture participants are able to estimate main concepts and applications of the design and creative process
4) Able to recognize design elements (line, tone, color, texture, shape, size and direction
5) Lecture participants are able explicate concept finding process which aims to solve a communication problem
6) Know the basic application for computer and peripherals used in graphic design.
7) Lecture participants are able to recognize basic terms about replicating, producing and printing
8) Lecture participants are able to create designs suited with target audience perception specialities
