Goals To give information about orthoses and prostheses
Course Content Orthotic materials, prosthetic materials, basic principles of orthosis construction, use of static and dynamic orthoses in occupational therapy, clinical and laboratory applications, appropriate device selection, device control and patient education.
Learning Outcomes 1) Explain the purposes of using orthoses in occupational therapy.
2) Explains orthoses and their features.
3) Performs device control and patient education.
