Goals Within the scope of this course, it is aimed to have sufficient knowledge about basic forensic toxicology and application areas and to gain critical thinking skills.
Course Content Definition and Historical Development of Forensic Toxicology,Postmortem Toxicology,Human Performance/Behavior Toxicology,Probation and Drug Testing,Workplace Substance Use Tests,Drug Facilitated Sexual Offenses,Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics,Biological Materials and Sample Selection,Postmortem Biological Materials,Storage, Transfer and Safety & Chain of Custody of Biological Materials,Sample Preparation Methods,Instrumental Analysis Methods,Method Development in Forensic Toxicological Analysis,Standardization/Quality Safety and Control in Forensic Toxicology Laboratory
Learning Outcomes 1) Have general knowledge about forensic toxicology.
2) Have knowledge about the application areas of forensic toxicology.
3) Learns sample preparation methods.
4) Have knowledge about the analysis methods used in forensic toxicology.
