Goals In this course, addictive substances and their properties will be covered. At the end of the course, alcohol, cannabis, amphetamine-type stimulants, cocaine, opioids, synthetic cannabinoids, synthetic cannabinoids, antidepressants, hallucinogenic substances and gain critical thinking skills.
Course Content Introduction to Substance Abuse,Alcohol Use and Addiction,Cannabis Use and Addiction,Use and Addiction of Amphetamine-Type Stimulants,Cocaine Use and Addiction,Opioids Use and Addiction,Use and Addiction of Khat and Synthetic Cathinones,Use and Addiction of Synthetic Cannabionides,Use and Addiction of Hallucinogenic Substances,Use and Addiction of Benzodiazepines and New Design Benzodiazepines,Use and Addiction of Antidepressants,Caffeine-Nicotine Use and Addiction,Use and Addiction of Gabapentinoids,Current Approaches in Addiction Treatment
Learning Outcomes 1) Have knowledge about addictive substances and their properties.
2) Have knowledge about the definition of addiction, related concepts and legal regulations.
3) Have knowledge about the current methods of abuse of addictive substances.
4) Have knowledge about the rates of use of addictive substances.
