Goals It is aimed to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes related to religious groupings as well as religion and society relations,social nature and changes of religious beliefs, worships and practices.
Course Content The basic concepts, theories and theoreticians of sociology, history of sociology and sociology of religion, religion and society interaction, the effects of religion on society and the effects of society on religion are examined in various dimensions.
Learning Outcomes 1) Comprehends the content and studies of sociology of religion
2) Knows the theoretical approaches in sociology of religion and evaluates the differences between them
3) Evaluates various aspects of sociology, society and sociology of religion.
4) Knows methodology of sociology of religion.
5) Interpret religious issues with social content from a scientific point of view.
