Goals This course is designed to teach students diverse sociological approaches, developing a research question and in this framework developing a research design as well as practical information to conduct such research.
Course Content In this course, a variety of social research methodologies and their links to theory and practice including their uses are examined. Taking different research projects into account, criteria to select a particular method (or a number of methods) and their implications are evaluated. Varying examples of research projects including comparative, historical, interpretative researches projects are taken as cases to be critically scrutinised.

2) Students gain skills in critically scrutinising research projects.
3) Learns developing methodological approach and research design in their social research
