Goals The fundamental aim of this lesson is to indroduce the basic concepts of human rights and its origins and terms of protection in light of international conventions on human rights, make the students gain the ability of interpreting and assessing legal texts by using these basic concepts, make the students gain the ability of follow the new issues and examine the legal statue.
Course Content Defining the terms of right, freedom, human rights, fundamental rights and freedoms which are related to basic concepts and institutions of Public Law.
Learning Outcomes 1) Defining the terms of right, freedom, human rights, fundamental rights and freedoms which are related to basic concepts and institutions of Public Law.
2) Categorising human rights, applying the interpretation techniques and comparing all of these subjects.
3) Following the national and international developments, new amendments on the legal statue, and the scientific issues about Human Rights.
4) Defining the problems on application, and solving them in light of scientific sources and court decisions about the mechanisms for protection against human rights violations.
5) Remembering the basic concepts of Public Law and Human Rights Law, researching about the issues which personally has lack of knowledge, developing an positive attitude on life long learning.
6) Comparing "de lege lata" and "natural law" within the scope of the texts about fundamental rights and freedoms, universal values and principles.
