Goals Progress of the Republic of Turkey towards the European Union, Agreements, the history of relations between Turkey and the European Union, issues and technical details at the candidacy process and the process of accession to the European Union are examined.
Course Content Progress of the Republic of Turkey towards the European Union, Agreements, the history of relations between Turkey and the European Union, issues and technical details with the candidacy process are taught.
Learning Outcomes 1) .Progress of the Republic of Turkey towards the European Union, Agreements, the history of relations between Turkey and the European Union, issues and technical details with the candidacy process are taught.
2) .Information given on Acquis communautaire, the primary and secondary legislation, international treaties and meaning of the case law of the Court of Justice, and sources of law among the values that hold the European Union together are examined in detail.
3) .Institutions of the European Union are examined, structure and functioning of these institutions and also the cooperation between other institutions are also examined. Competence of European Union's institutions and effects on decision-making processes related to these are studied.
4) .European Union's enlargement strategies are emphasized, EU becoming a power in its geographical location is only possible with the adoption of common criterias and harmonisation of these criterias between member states. most important aspects of this process of harmonization are carried through economic union, convergence of legal regulations, settlement of a common understanding on the basis of rights and freedoms.
5) EU Customs Union and the subsequent efforts to engage in an economic integration are examined, Based on the importance of the economic integration for EU and this being a decisive factor on member states’ politics, it’s required to be taken into account that with this integration process, Union, being an important actor in the World trade is emphasized..
