Goals It is aimed to deal with the history of religion, culture and thought of Europe in terms of important periods, concepts and individuals; and from this to understand the present social, political, religious and cultural structure of Europe, its origins and development processes.
Course Content The obvious actors and processes of Europe's history of religion and thought; the nature and dimensions of religion-society and religion-government relations from the Middle Ages to today; the effects of Muslim science and religious thought on Europe, Europe's recent religious pluralism and cultural Pluralism approaches,   especially the dimensions of Islamic debate in Europe and the position, status and future of the Muslim community.
Learning Outcomes 1) It obtains a sufficient conception of the characteristics and stages of the religious and intellectual history of Europe.
2) He learn different attitudes regarding the nature and status of religion displayed in Europe today and   the intellectual and legal dimensions of the concept of freedom of religion.
3) Recognizes the institutional and intellectual structure of Christianity in Europe
4) He learn the basic approaches to religious life and religious education opportunities, the legal framework of religious life and thought in Europe today.
5) He knows the impact of Muslim science traditions and religious thought on Europe and the ways of their rezeption
6) He think about the position of Muslim individuals and Muslim societies living in Europe, their identity debates, issues and expectations more consistently; expresses himself easily and communicates well.
