Course Content Art recipe, types and importance; Overview of Islam, art and aesthetics; Early Islamic art; Examples of Seljuk and Ottoman period monuments.
Learning Outcomes 1) Defines of art and recalls importance.
2) Interprets Islam's view of sanctity and aesthetics.
3) summarizes Islam's view of ancient civilizations, cities, historical monuments and archeology.

7) knows the Masjid Nabawi, the first important religious architectural example in Islamic history.
