Our vision is to become a department preferred because of its undergraduate and graduate programs and be a model for other faculties by training their teaching staff members in order to contribute to the development of our country by shaping education policies, science and practices through the studies performed.

(Undergraduate) Computer and
Instructional Technologies Education Department (B.A) and (Graduate)
Educational Technology (M.A) Our mission is to give a contemporary and dynamic education in
undergraduate level to train computer teachers and educational technologists
who;have
highly developed social consciousness, embrace
and improve the fundamental values of democracy and live up to ethical and
secular values,
• question, research, produce and solve problems,

produce knowledge related to his field and
practice them, and be useful for their environment in any case.
Moreover, our department is committed to do
basic, applied researches in the fields related to Graduate and Undergraduate
Education Technology and publish them in national and international scientific
journals. These researches must
● be unique
● be performed through teamwork,
● have high reliability, and validity
standards,
● have scientific quality
● contribute to the development of our
country and universal science.
● In addition, about the issues related to
educational sciences that the society requires, our department aims to consult
with public institutions, particularly The Ministry of National Education,
non-governmental organizations and private institutions and organizations’
education units. we also consider taking a distinctive role in the
determination of educational policies of these institutions.
●Furthermore, as being the
particularly preferred department in the work demands related to education, we
aim to examine the issues and the problems scientifically that institutions and
organizations face and to organize various scientific activities in order to
enlighten the employees working in educational institutions about the
educational sciences and educational problems.
Goals
Our aim is to train information technologies teacher who is sensitive to people, society and nature; realizes his place and his job’s importance in social development; acquires and maintains professional competence and ethical responsibility. They are also supposed to perceive continuous improvement as a lifestyle; embrace scientific thinking; look after public interests; design, use and assess information and communication technologies effectively and able to acquire creative and critical thinking.
Having basic and applied
conceptual knowledge about educational sciences.
Identifying educational
problems in his/her own field and other fields and designing teaching-learning
processes towards solution.
Planning, teaching and
assessment of a lesson with the knowledge and skills acquired within the
program.
Summary of Program Outcomes
