The Italian Language and Literature program offers language (levels from A1 to C1) with a wide range, literature and culture courses. Besides covering the full range of Italian language, the Italian Language and Literature Department also provides students the possibility of approaching Italian culture through the literature and history. Students can pursue their careers in different areas such as in media, international commerce and education, government service, travel and tourism, and communications. The Italian Language and Literature Program at Ankara University is the oldest Italian language program in Turkey and maintains its education tradition from 1960 until present.

Graduates are able to read and examine the primary sources about the Italian language and literature. Realize Italian-related events and establish a connection between these events. Follow developments related to the Italian language and literature , and if necessary make comparisons between cultures. Use Italian Language in different areas.
