About Program
This program provides; theoretical and practical training(s) on the topics such as agriculture, rehabilitation, biotechnology, cytology, seed technology, etc. in cultivated field crops and agronomy with various and up-to-date (some) researches.
At the same time, according to usage of the field crops are being examined under the title of cereals, edible pulses, industrial crops and meadow and pasture, and feed crops They are introduced to all (undergraduate) students within the modern program which they are applying from the morphological, physiological, ecological, both theoretical and practical multi-directional and permanent education(s) are provided with the dimensions from the production to brreding, and storage processes.
Goals
To grow agricultural engineers who care about the nature and environment, have the concience of ethich values of his/hers profession, have been given donated with comprehensive skills and knowledge on growing, breeding and biotechnology of grains food legumes, industrial crops and forage crops in terms of field crops, To give the idea of having the theoretical and practical knowledge and produce solutions to the problems by creating inter discipliner relations in his/her areas. To detect the problems in every level in agricultural production, develop the agricultural production by sharing the gained information,experience, new technology to the producers and researchers.
Summary of Program Outcomes
Field crops graduates (Inc. Doctorate students) have the basic knowledge on agronomy, breeding and biotechnology of field crops. They have the consicious of the problems affecting the breeding, production and the quality of field crops and have the skills and knowledge to produce of the appropriate solutions to these problems, similarly, they have also the skills to follow the new (recent) devolopments in their growing, breeding and biotechnology of field crops inside and outside of the country and to transfer them to the producers
