About Program
The department offers undergraduate and graduate level education and research opportunities for individuals seeking career in soil, plant nutrition, land management and environmental issues. The departement's research interests include soil formation, soil survey and mapping, soil classification, soil physics, soil Chemistry, soil biology, and soil and water conservation, land use planning, land degradation, water and land management, composting, fertilizers and fertilization, soil fertility, organic farming, waste management, plant physiology and plant nutrition covers topics.
Goals
The main objectives of the program are to give basic information to students about soil formation, distribution of the different soils in the world and in our country,, mapping, physical, chemical and biological properties of cultivated soils, soil erosion, soil pollution, soil management, soil fertility, plant nutrition and fertilization, sustainable agriculture, soil-water-plant relationships, fertilizer-environment relations, etc and so on. provide basic information to students studying the subjects, in soil science and plant nutrition issues equipped accordance with current information of the conditions experts, analytical thinking and capable of solving problems, providing a solution to the basic problems related to soil and plant nutrition manufacturer's, sensitive to the environment and nature, following today's innovation and technologies.
