About Program
This program is carried out by the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry,. Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Department; with 6 Professors, 1 Associate Professor and 1 Lecturer, carries out the Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology Master's Program with Thesis.
There are two separate working areas as Oral Diagnosis Clinic and Oral Radiology Clinic. Oral Diagnosis Clinic has 21 dental units, Oral Radiology Clinic has 3 digital panoramic device, 9 periapical x-ray devices, 2 Cone Beam Computed Tomography devices (1 in supine position and 1 in standing position). It has 2 USG devices and a artificial intelligence laboratory.
Candidates who are graduates of the Faculty of Dentistry and meet the entrance requirements of the Institute of Health Sciences for the Master's program with thesis are accepted by the interview exam conducted by the Department.
Goals
The aim of the Oral and Dentomaxillofacial Radiology Master's program is to train students who will make scientific research, reach information, interpret and present the results of these studies for the benefit of society by using the department's facilities effectively.
Summary of Program Outcomes
1-Has up-to-date and advanced knowledge in the field of Oral and Dentomaxillofacial Radiology. 2-Comprehends and applies the interdisciplinary of Oral and Dentomaxillofacial Radiology. 3-Uses the basic information required by the oral diagnosis and dental treatment planning whwn necessary, synthesizes this information and reaches the right results. 4-Recognizes the updated devices, materials, equipment, systems and techniques in the field of Oral and Detomaxillofacial Radiology and have information about their use. 5-Knows the research methodology, planning, methods and biostatistics methods in which the results are evaluated. 6-Indicates, applies and interprest the results of all clinical and radiological methods used in oral diagnosis - treatment planning. 7-Uses the knowledge of the field in both new research planning and clinical patient services.
