About Program

This program mainly aims to improve the ability of graduate students to adapt a multidisciplinary biophysics doctorate degree program because the applicants can have different background knowledge, skills and Bachelor’s degree (medicine, biology, engineering, physics, etc.) For that reason, students are educated with essential basic theoretical and practical knowledge associated with biophysics.

Goals

"1. Knowledge: This program supports students to grab the principles of electrophysiological, molecular biological and florescence based imaging techniques at levels of both theoretical and practical fields. These are including: To learn fundamental facts about cellular and system physiology, to learn quantitative approaches and methods that is frequently used in medicine and biology. Additionally they will be able to describe and practice the general concepts of biophysics, to recognize the biological systems and its bioelectrical actions as well as to realize observation ways, measure and analyze the bio-potentials in biological systems. Achieving the capability of tracking the literature about biophysics and biology relationship. 2. Skill: To obtain the preliminary ability in order to practice in a basic science laboratory. Building up the experience to design and carry out a scientific research in a medicine-biology based basic laboratory. To improve the essential capability for utilizing the main electrophysiological, imaging and molecular biological techniques. To learn how to prepare a scientific research project and to interpret the experimental data. To gain the ability of writing a scientific research paper. 3. Attitude: Being able to effectively use scientific resources. Being able to participate and present data in scientific meetings. "
