Department of Veterinary Biostatistics was established in 1994. The department conducts biostatistics and computer courses in faculties and colleges, especially in veterinary faculty biostatistics and computer courses.

The aim of Veterinary Biostatistics PhD program, which can develop strategies for the production of the modeling of statistical problems and problem -specific solutions , open to developments in the field , able to dialogue with the people worked with , at a level that can contribute to the literature aims to train individuals who can dominate the biostatistical theory.

Basic knowledge of theoretical biostatistics, can apply biostatistical methods, the results can be commented on, can finalize plans and independent research in their field , reaching the ability to use statistical software feature, students who completed the program , adopted ethical scientific research, is targeted to be in a manner that avoids keeping statistical side
