The first studies on the establishment of the Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry, began in 1959. Our department serving as Chair of treatment between the years 1963-1982 has taken the Department of Dental Diseases and Treatment of name in 1982 after the Higher Education Act. Finally, by decision dated 18.09.2001 has been canceled these disciplines Higher Education Department of Endodontics and Dental Diseases and Treatment Department is divided into two separate departments, including. Education and training was carried out 7 professors and 2 experts in the Department of Endodontics

This program is capable of independent thought, as well as having brought the knowledge and skills of science expertise in the field of endodontics and to train students with the ability to research.

The purpose of this program, increasing the knowledge and skills in their field and implement is to train individuals with relevant and independent innovation ability to keep up with your field of research.

Pulp and diagnosis and treatment of periapical disease, indications and contraindications of root canal treatment, materials and equipment used in endodontics and emergency management in endodontics, dental injuries and their treatment due to trauma, will have information about the periapical surgery. Scientific research in the field of planning, doing and have the ability to interpret the results.
