About Program
This program includes theoretical and practical courses which provide knowledge, skill and competence on evidence-based epidemiological approach, analytical thinking and evaluation, planning and conducting a research for the graduate students of medicine, pharmacy, veterinary sciences, and dentistry. The program also comprises of spesific lectures such as basic principles and techniques in epidemiology, epidemiological indicators, data analysis, fundamentals of Public Health, communicable and non-communicable diseases, and some elective courses.

Goals
To educate and train health professionals qualified in developing scientific approach in defining, analysing, and evaluating the problems and causes of health in order to solve, manage and implement the necessary practices.
Summary of Program Outcomes
After complementing this program the participant; - Evaluates the basic principles and uses of epidemiology. - Identifies the priority of health issues using epidemiological indicators. - Evaluates and discusses methods and designs of epidemiological researches. - Plans and conducts an epidemiolgical research and interprets the results. - Reports the findings of the epidemiological research; criticises and evaluates the related contributions. - While monitorising, evaluates and and criticises an epidemiological and/or a scientific study. - Evaluates the spesific fields of epidemiology such as communicable and non-communicable diseases. - Perfoms screening programs and outbreak assessments.
