About Program

This programme consist 2 years lesson and 2 years thesis period is aimed to train employee, according to the sciencetific criteria, that can work about Pharmaceutical and Food Microbiology in the public and private sector and also in academical environments.  

Goals

To train scientists and researchers who could make microbiological analysis and activity controls of basic microbiology, infectious diseases, immunology and epidemiology, pharmaceutical products and raw materials, food and food supplements, producing unique knowledge and technologies on pharmaceutical microbiology branch, contributing to the social welfare and global science and has ethical values.

Summary of Program Outcomes

Students should learn general information about pharmaceutical products, disinfectants, antisepticts, preservatives and other therapeutic agents, microbiological activity controls these pharmaceutical drugs, methods that are used to sterilize pharmaceutical products. Students should acquire skills of using the microbiological techniques, anrimicrobial activity controls of active substances or finished products, enumerate of microorganisms in pharmaceutical products, identification of isolated microorganisms, sterility and pyrogenity tests, activity tests of preservatives, microbiological quality controls of immunologicals products such as vaccines, serums, endotoxins and pharmaceutical products such as enzymes, antibiotics, vitamins. Students who have completed this programme should be able to work about pharmaceutical microbiology in the public and private sector and in academic environment.
