About Program
This programme consist 1 year lesson and 1 year thesis period is aimed to train employee, according to the sciencetific criteria, that can work about Pharmaceutical and Food Microbiology in the public and private sector.
Goals
To train specialist who could make microbiological quality controls of basic microbiology, pharmaceutical microbiology, immunology and pharmaceutical products, raw materials, food and food supplements according to scientific criteria.
Summary of Program Outcomes
Students who study at Master’s programme with thesis should learn; - general information about pharmaceutical products, disinfectants, antisepticts, preservatives and other therapeutic agents -microbiological activity controls of these pharmaceutical drugs. -methods that are used to sterilize pharmaceutical products. Skills of using the microbiological techniques -antimicrobial activity controls of active substances -enumerate of microorganisms in pharmaceutical products -identification of isolated microorganisms -sterility and pyrogenity tests -activity tests of preservatives -microbiological quality controls of immunological products such as vaccines, serums, endotoxins and pharmaceutical products such as enzymes, antibiotics, vitamins. Students who have completed this programme should be able to work about Pharmaceutical Microbiology in the public and private sector.
