About Program

Those who earn doctoral qualifications; Internal Diseases (Digestive, respiratory, urinary, cardiovascular, skin and nervous system, endocrine and metabolism, infectious, blood and blood-forming organs, immun system, liver) of horse, cattle, sheep-goat, cat, dog, cage birds and other exotic animals and current and advanced information on pancreatic, neonatal and neoplastic diseases, vitamin-mineral deficiency, intoxications, emergency intervention and intensive care, fluid-electrolyte and acid-base balance disorders and zoonoses are given in the emergency clinic, outpatient clinic, , animal breeding and animal care homes etc. During the education period, they are trained to give seminars in their branches and to participate in other seminars and symposiums and to present their competences in the field in front of the society.In this period researchers working in various researches They are trained theoretically and practically in the subjects of original topic design, project design, implementation and finalization of projects. In this way, they gain competencies to solve problems, to make decisions, to develop new ideas and methods, to bring innovation to the projects they are doing, to find new ideas and designs and to defend the original results.

Goals

He has achieved independent decision-making ability that is sensitive to human beings, gathering, animals and environment, conceives the social development place of himself and his occupation, designs and implements researches on veterinary diseases in a scientific integrity, can produce results, can defend these results, can contribute to scientific solution of problems related to his field , scientific communities and society who have gained the competence to communicate with the general, who can confidently present their work in their scientific meetings, perceive it as a constantly developing lifestyle that can be found in new ideas and designs; scientific thinking and behavior; has taken ethical responsibility to think creatively and critically, taking the public interest, using information and communication technologies effectively, to train doctors of veterinary internal medicine.

Summary of Program Outcomes

The theoretical courses to be given within the scope of the program will have knowledge about the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of internal diseases of horses, cattle, sheep, goats, dogs, cats, cage animals and other exotic animals, taking into account the zoonotic characteristics of diseases (infectious diseases and food safety) .
