About Program
Only graduates of medical schools can apply to Occupational Health Doctorate Programme. Dissertation stage begins after the completion of mandatory credits and deemed appropriate additional credits in four semesters.
The program contains theoretical and/or practical courses like; Occupational Health and Hygiene, Occupational Diseases I, Occupational Diseases II, Epidemiology, Occupational Epidemiology, Research Techniques in the Occupational Health, Occupational Accidents, Ergonomics, Occupational Medicine and Occupational Hygiene, First Aid, Physical Risk Factors in the Occupational Health, Chemical Risk Factors in the Occupational Health, International Organizations and Conventions in the Occupational Health, Biological Risk Factors in the Occupational Health, Phsycosocial Risk Factors in the Occupational Health, Individual Risk Factors in the Occupational Health, Laboratory Techniques in the Occupational Health, Occupational Health and Occupational Safety Legislations, etc.
Goals
To educate and train health professionals in basic principles of Workers Health in the World and in Turkey, major risk factors, legal foundations of protecting workers’ health and safety, research planning and practice about protecting and developing workers’ health and safety, principles of protecting workers from occupational accidents and occupational diseases, major occupational diseases and diagnose.
Summary of Program Outcomes
After complementing this program the participant; Follows the professional, sectoral and scientific developments about Workers Health and Safety in the World and in Turkey. Suggests preventing and developing measures about Workers Health and Safety. Collaborates with Occupational Safety team (technical team) as much as medical team. Plans and conducts sectoral, nationwide research programs related to issues. Offers solutions to sectoral, national issues related to Workers Health and Safety. Diagnoses occupational diseases and work related diseases.
