Especially design and preparation of cosmetic/cosmeceutical formulations take part within the context of this programme. Cosmetology is a science that must be processed in the training of pharmacy in consequence of the similarity of pharmaceutical dosage forms as the cosmetic products have same preparation technique and also same application site like skin. 

Cosmetology is an interdisciplinary field. The main purpose of the Cosmetology Master of Science programme within the Master programme of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology is development, evaluation and optimisation of the cosmetic/cosmeceutical formulations. Also skin compatibility of the prepared formulations, the appropriate request of consumers and skin targeting properties are among the objectives of this program.

1 Base on basic sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical and clinical sciences to improve the life quality of patients and to carry out the responsibilities of drug therapy in the context of ethics. 2 Has scientific and technological knowledge related to the production technology and analysis of cosmetics/cosmeceuticals of natural and synthetic substances. 3 PY3- Has knowledge about production site properties, storage, quality assurance and standardization of cosmetics/cosmeceuticals. 4 PY4- Evaluates chemical, physical and microbiological properties of cosmetics/cosmeceutical formulations. 5 PY5- Defines pharmaceutical manufacturing process validation and international standarts of cosmetics. 6 PY6- Has knowledge about the technological devices and tools spesific to the field of Cosmetology. 7 PY7- Has current knowledge at the postgraduate level based on undergraduate qualifications. 8 PY8- Has knowledge to collaborate with other disciplines related to Cosmetology. 9 PY9- Can apply the processes from design up to production even to consumption of cosmetics/cosmeceuticals using natural and syntetic substances. 10 PY10- Can carry out physical, chemical, microbiological analysis, quality control and activity testing of cosmetic/cosmeceutical products derived from natural and synthetic substances. 11 PY11- Can develop recommendations based on research and evidence to solve drug interactions and other problems related to cosmetic/cosmeceutical products. 12 PY12- Can solve problems related to usage and stability of cosmetics/cosmeceuticals. 13 PY13-Can transmit information and objective advice about usage of cosmetics and pharmaceutical care products to society, other health personnel, agency and institutes responsible from drug policy. 14 PY14- Can interpret own information in the field of Cosmetology integrating with those of different disciplines to create new knowledge, analyze these information by using different research methods and propose solutions. 15 PY15- Can investigate and solve problems about the technological devices and tools specific to the field of Cosmetology at the required level. 16 PY16- Can carry out an advanced study or research both independently and as a teamwork in the field of Cosmetology. 17 PY17- Has the competence of troubleshooting, proposing concrete solutions, evaluation and application of the results when faced unforeseen complicated situations that require expertise in Cosmetology. 18 PY18- Can apply lifelong learning skills and maintain the personal and the career development by following the novel improvements related to Cosmetology. 19 PY19- Can evaluate the knowledge related with Cosmetology in a judgmental aspect and perform the knowledge when needed. 20 PY20- Can transmit current developments and own studies systematically to the groups in the same or other fields as written, orally and visually. 21 PY21- Can investigate the social relationships on vocational and professional environment and the norms that direct these relationships in a judgmental aspect and can do the necessary to develop these relationships. 22 PY22- Can follow the knowledge and technological developments on Cosmetology, reach the current true and knowledge sources. 23 PY23- Can apply the rules on cosmetic/cosmeceutic research and development, quality control, registration, patent and good manufacturing process (GMP). 24 PY24- Has the ability of inspecting in the collection, interpretation, announcement steps of the data related to the field of Pharmaceutical Technology by considering the common, scientific and ethical values and the ability of translate these values. 25 PY25- . Has the ability of utilizing the knowledge and problem solving skills gained on the health field in interdisciplinary studies.
