PhD program is a at least a 4 year program (to be allow to grant two extra year) consisting of a total of 240 courses, 30 ECTS each semester, at least 1 seminar, necropsy, laboratory works (cytopathology, histopathology, electron microscopy, immunohistochemistry, and molecular pathology) studies, and thesis studies. The program is open to veterinarians which completed 5 years of veterinary medicine degree program or postgraduate education or which completed his master's degree in any field. Candidates are encouraged to choose a priority of biostatistics, methodology and research, scientific ethics courses. Thesis studies is constructed and executed on project-based in relationship with clinical science of which, in general, a problem encountered in the clinical field. Thesis topics is about macroscopic, cytopathological, histopathological, immunohistochemical and molecular pathology and electron microscopic findings of domestic animal diseases and tumors in experimental and natural disease. Ones successfully completed program have the advantage of making a career in the state and private sector in priority with the title of "Doctor of Science" in academic life.

AIM OF PROGRAM: To have in-depth knowledge and skills in the field of veterinary pathology;to be familiar with the main problem, the used methods and historical development in the field of study;to follow the developments in the field and to understand scientific theories;to have an access to the level to conclude in planning a study of its own, conducting and concluding, the scientific researchers needed by public institutions, the private sector and universities.

It reaches the original definitions having in-depth and current information in the area and steeping in interdisciplinary interaction and bringing innovation. -It has an ability of planning, design, implementation and adaptation a research process in scientific integrity. - It contributes to an original study to develop the frontiers of knowledge with a concise operation and a portion or all of this study is published in national or international refereed journals. - It implements in advanced and modern vocational - technical skills to the skilled level to field of study or sector.
