About Program
Medical Microbiology Doctoral Program consists of four semesters and includes seven required courses as: collecting of clinical samples and laboratory analysis methods, general and specific bacteriology, parasitology, virology, mycology and immunology and 14 elective courses which covers different fields like advanced laboratory diagnostic techniques, specific patient group’s infections or epidemiological topics. Courses are given by 10 professors and 1 associate professor at the Department of Medical Microbiology and 1 professor at the Department of Parasitology.
Goals
To development and deepen the current and advanced information which is based on postgraduate qualification in the field of microbiology by original thought and / or research and to access original definitions which will bring innovation to science.
Summary of Program Outcomes
Students who graduate from the program establish relationships between, various disciplines such as immunology, infectious diseases and sub-areas like bacteriology, mycology, virology, parasitology, basic immunology and molecular microbiology; and can reach original results for analyzing, synthesizing and evaluating the new and complex ideas by using his expertise.
