About Program

The Department of Veterinary History&Deontology of Ankara University was established in 1950. The fist PhDstudy was completed in 1954, the first academic staf was trained in 1957. The Department has carried out national and international training, research and publication about main subjects of veterinary history, professional ethics and legislation.

Goals

The aim of the PhD Programme of the Department of Veterinary History & Deontology is to combine the knowledge and methodology of tree different main fields such as history, legislation and ethics within the context of veterinary medicine, is to provide veterinarians, who are planning academic career in this field, advanced level knowledge on related topics and is to gain the ability to carry out independent researches on these topics and produce original publications.

Summary of Program Outcomes

The Graduates of the program have advanced level knowledge on veterinary history, veterinary legislation and ethics. They gain the ability to carry out original researches independently and contribute to this field.
