About Program

The Department of Veterinary History&Deontology of Ankara University was established in 1950. The fist PhDstudy was completed in 1954, the first academic staf was trained in 1957. The Department has carried out national and international training, research and publication about main subjects of veterinary history, professional ethics and legislation.

Goals

The aim of the MSC Program of the History of Veterinary Medicine and Deontology is to provide veterinarians, who are planning academic career in the fields of veterinary history, professional legislation and ethics, the basic information of this field and is to gain the ability to understand, evaluate and carry out independent researches on related topics.

Summary of Program Outcomes

The Graduates of the program have enough knowledge on veterinary history, basic philosophy-ethics and veterinary legislation. They gain the vision for PhD education.
