Old Turkish Master’s Program gives education subject to Department of Turkish Language and Literature. Pursuing literary transition process from first period of Turkish Literature that develops in Anatolia to New Turkish Literature, comparison of Old Literature with other literary periods and determination of this period’s position in Turkish Literature.

Aim of the program is schooling individuals to study on determination of Old Literature’s position in Turkish Litetarute, its characteristics and timeline with respect to scientific methods. Also the program aims educate the students about evaluation of Old Turkish literary works according to traditional and modern theories.

The student learns development process of Old Turkish Literature and its stylistic alterations. In the light of this information he/she ables to periodize Old Turkish Literature and express its main characteristics. Also he/she ables to evaluate the studies on Old Turkish literature and define their problems.
