MA in Journalism aims to provide students with various theoretical and practical approaches to communication process. In this context, journalism, media industry and communication technologies are discussed in detail and studens are given in-depth analysis skills to deconstruct the hidden meanings behind them.

The program aims to train individuals who understand basic concepts of journalism and communication; adopt a scientific approach; have an awareness of modern teaching methods; read media-society relationship from a critical perspective; and, offer solutions to to the problems detected.

Students successfully completing the MA program learn how to approach social communication with a critical perspective. They also get the ability to distinguish cultural studies and political economy approach as a main research trend in the field of communication and media studies and acquire scientific and academic competence.
