Italian Language and Literature of the doctoral program in which students learn processes and authors in different periods of Italian literature which are examined for their contribution in this process.It is also the main objective to evaluate and understand its place in world literature and culture of Italian literature.
Goals
Italian Language and Literature PhD students in Rome and Italy History of Italian Literature, History and author allows them to do more in-depth research on the basis of their knowledge about the poets.Italian language, which has contributed significantly to the history of civilization, culture and literature researching and Italy that the Department faculty who will support us able to compete with the modern world by contributing to the promotion of the wealth of our country. The Italian Language and Literature Master’s Degree Program offers Italian literature and culture courses on main Italian classic writers such as Dante, Boccaccio, Petrarca, Ariosto, Leopardi, Manzoni, Fogazzaro, D’Annunzio, Foscolo, Verga and the modern ones like Primo Levi, Luigi Pirandello, Antonio Tabucchi, Umberto Saba e Umberto Eco. Besides covering the full range of Italian literature, the Italian Language and Literature Master’s Degree Program also provides students the possibility of approaching Italian literature through the Italian literary criticism by the works of Vico, De Sanctis and Croce. Every aspects of literature such as poetry, prose, criticism and theatre is studied at Italian Language and Literature Department of Ankara University.
Summary of Program Outcomes
Graduates are able to read and examine the primary sources about the Italian language and literature. Realize Italian-related events and establish a connection between these events. Follow developments related to the Italian language and literature , and if necessary make comparisons between cultures. Use Italian Language in different areas.
