PhD program in Kalam seeks to equip students with an ability to compare the views of different schools of thought that have emerged throughout the history of Islamic though, by building on their knowledge from the masters education. It seeks to enable them to evaluate in a systematic and methodological manner the belief problematique, as well as existential and normative issues pertaining to individual and society. The program enables the candidates to specialize on specific topics and develop unique solutions to the problems, based on this formation.

The program seeks to solve the individual, societal, belief and ethical problems that man has encountered in every era, based on the fundamental source of Islamic religion, Quran, reason and universal ethical principles. Moreover, the program aims to develop researchers that adopt scientific approach and use modern pedagogical technics.

Through the program, the students learn about the thought structure of different schools of Islamic thought, methods for producing solutions, as well as important names. They come to recognize the negative and positive aspects of the impact of this process on Islamic belief. They develop a correct understanding of existence, knowledge, belief issues and contemporary issues and use their accumulated knowledge to solve problems they encounter.
