Doctorate Programme in History (History of the Republic of Turkey) Department covers the political, economical, social and cultural aspects of the history of the Republic of Turkey starting from the National Struggle Period (1919-1922) to nowadays, by comparing with the important events in the World history. 

The subjects covered in scope of the history of the Republic of Turkey, are taught in academical way and it is aimed that students ground their studies in scientifical approach, use modern education methods, gain the ability of analitical thinking and raised as productive individuals.

Students graduated from this programme, can perceive all aspects of the history of the Republic of Turkey by impoving their knowledge and gain the ability of analitical thinking. Also students will specialize on the field of their thesis subject and take steps towards being a competent academician and scientist.
