About Program

Preparing and developing radiopharmaceuticals, radioactive materials, biological effects of radiation, pharmaceutical use of radiation, damages of radiation, effects of radiation on environment, informing about radiation protection. To work with radioactive materials for the preparation of radiopharmaceuticals, to recognize and use the necessary materials and equipment in this subject, to gain experience and practical skills in radiation protection.

Goals

The master's program in radiopharmacy aims to educate experienced and scientific personnel who are knowledgeable about the preparation, control, development, storage of drugs with radioactive materials, and who have knowledge about the materials and equipment used during these processes.

Summary of Program Outcomes

1 Can utilize the basic sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical and clinical sciences to improve the life quality of patients and to carry out the responsibilities of drug therapy in the context of ethics. 1 Review and evaluate national and international literature about interested field. 1 Determines the problems which can be research subject in related specific field. 2 Chooses the research subject in accordance with determined problems 2 Develop research proposal based on literature review. 2 Has scientific and technological knowledge related to the production technology and analysis of drugs, cosmetics/cosmeceuticals and other medicinal products of natural and synthetic pharmaceutical substances. 3 Has knowledge about the production site properties, storage, quality ensurance and standardization of drugs, cosmetics/cosmeceuticals and other medicinal products of natural and synthetic pharmaceutical substances. 3 Determine a subject from proposals and prepare a report about this subject. 3 Present and discuss research report. 3 Using individual and team work skills in national and international projects 3 Review literature about research subject and plans research design. 4 Collects data with related data collection instruments 4 Can evaluate the chemical, physical, biological and biopharmaceutical/pharmacokinetic properties of drug formulations. 4 Using a foreign microbiological, toxicological analysis, quality and activity controls of drugs, cosmetics/cosmeceuticals and other medicinal products derived from natural and synthetic pharmaceutical substances. 11 Can develop recommendations based on research and evidences to solve drug interactions and other problems related to drug and other medicinal products. 12 Can know the therapeutic effects of pharmaceutical products and solve the problems related to the usage and stability of drugs in medical treatment with respect to their pharmacogenetic, pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic properties. 13 Can transmit his/her knowledge and objective advices on the usage of human and veterinary medicines, other medicinal products, food supplements and pharmaceutical care products to the society, other health care workers, agencies and institutes responsible from drug policy. 14 Can interpret his/her own knowledge in the field of Pharmaceutical Technology by integrating with those of different disciplines to create new knowledge, analyze these information by using different research methods, develop innovative applications and methods. 15 Has the ability of making investigations and solving problems by using the technological devices at a required level for the field of Pharmaceutical Technology and the tools specific to this field at advanced level. 16 Can carry out an advanced study or research both independently and as a teamwork in the field of Pharmaceutical Technology. 17 Has the competence of troubleshooting, proposing concrete solutions, evaluating and practicing the results to the problems that require expertise in Pharmaceutical Technology. 18 Can apply lifelong learning skills and maintain personal and career development by following the novel improvements related to Pharmaceutical Technology. 19 Can evaluate the knowledge related with Pharmaceutical Technology in a judgmental aspect and perform the knowledge when needed. 20 Can transmit the current developments and his/her own studies systematically to the groups in the same or other fields as written, orally and visually. 21 Can investigate the social relationships on vocational and professional environment and the norms that direct these relationships in a judgmental aspect and can do the necessary to develop these relationships. 22 Can follow the knowledge and technological developments on Pharmaceutical Technology, reach the current true and current knowledge sources. 23 Can apply the rules on drug research and development, quality control, registration, patent and good manufacturing process (GMP) for human and veterinary medicines. 24 Has the ability of inspecting in the collection, interpretation, announcement steps of the data related to the field of Pharmaceutical Technology by considering the common, scientific and ethical values and the ability of teaching these values. 25 Has the ability of utilizing the knowledge and problem solving skills gained on the health field in interdisciplinary studies
