MEDICAL EDUCATION MASTER’S DEGREE PROGRAMME

The mission of this programme is to give individuals who already excel in one of the health professions or health sciences disciplines an opportunity to turn their specialized knowledge and skill towards the advancement of medical education itself. It is required to train the man power that will conduct academic studies and research in the departments of medical education and informatics established in medical faculties, and will contribute the development of medical education. This program is founded and conducted to give students a solid foundation in medical education, teaching skills, and the science of learning.

The graduates of the master's degree program of medical education will have the knowledge about undergraduate and graduate medical education and continuing professional development, have the knowledge about the theories and approaches related to learning and instruction, have the knowledge about the curriculum models and their characteristics in medical education, have the knowledge about measurement and evaluation in medical education, have the knowledge about the specific instructional methods in medical education, be able to develop curriculum in medicine and health sciences, be able to develop student evaluation tools in medicine and health sciences, be able to conduct research in medicine and health sciences, be able to use the current educational technologies in medicine and health sciences, be able to solve the problems in medical education using high level cognitive processes, be able to perform the duties and responsibilities as medical educationist regarding professional values and ethical principles, be able to update the competencies based on lifelong learning principles for his individual and professional development.
