About Program

The department consists of one department. In the department; pre-harvest tillage, sowing and maintenance, irrigation, fertilization, harvesting and post-harvest mechanization processes, design and operation of agricultural machinery, smart machines, digital agriculture, smart precision agriculture applications and technologies, greenhouse technologies, internal agricultural applications, as well as energy and renewable energy applications in agriculture, education, training and research studies are carried out. The aim of the department is to train qualified engineers, to provide opportunities for applied research activities and to improve the level of education in agricultural machinery and technologies by seeking solutions to the problems of the country in a planned manner and thus to meet the needs of modern agriculture and industry. For this purpose, students do 15 working days of farm internship at the end of the fourth semester and also work as insured-paid interns in factories by taking a course called vocational training in the enterprise (IMEP) for 70 working days in the eighth semester.


Goals

?The aim of the Agricultural Machinery and Technologies Engineering Undergraduate Program is to provide undergraduate level education and training in the field of agricultural machinery; equipped with the knowledge appropriate to the conditions of the age in the design and operation of agricultural power and construction machinery, digital technologies in agriculture and energy use in agriculture; to train Agricultural Engineers who have the ability of analytical thinking, who are aware of their ethical responsibilities, who are productive, participatory, who can improve the welfare of society, who can make decisions based on data, who have gained the ability to think scientifically and objectively, problem solving and design, who can use information technologies, who are dynamic, enterprising and entrepreneurial, who take into account our national priorities, who have environmental and social awareness, who are fully equipped, who have professional ethics.

Summary of Program Outcomes

He/she is competent and authorized to design, prepare and sign projects of agricultural tools and machinery. Conducts examinations, preparations, trials or analyses related to the documents or licensing procedures required? for t?he production, marketing, import and export of agricultural tools and machinery. Authorized in energy use in agriculture, renewable energies, quality and occupational safety.
